April’s Poetry Night at the Library will be on Wednesday, April 10th, from 6-7:45 PM. The group will meet in the Mesa Room at the Central Library Branch of Mesa County Public Libraries. The topic for this month is an exciting tool for your poetry toolbox – asyndeton, syndeton, and polysyndeton. What? Come find out about this basic device. Last month’s topic was Leigh Stein, and the challenge is to write a poem using modern terminology. Make it “confessional” in that you use the “I” pronoun, but it doesn’t have to be autobiographical. If you’re not feeling the challenge, feel free to bring a different poem or just come listen. Everyone is welcome!
